NARUTO CARD GAME: Everything We Know So Far

NARUTO CARD GAME: Everything We Know So Far

The NARUTO CARD GAME is officially on its way. Built around the world and characters of NARUTO, NARUTO: SHIPPUDEN and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, the new trading card game is scheduled for a worldwide release in Summer 2027.

Information is still being revealed, so in this article we're keeping things simple: what has been officially announced, how the game works, and what is still unknown.

When Will the NARUTO CARD GAME Be Released?

The NARUTO CARD GAME is scheduled to launch worldwide in Summer 2027. This means players and collectors across multiple regions are expected to be able to experience the game as part of the same global launch.

An exact retail release date has not yet been announced. As more information becomes available, we'll update our coverage on Shinobi Vault.

Which Naruto Series Are Included?

The game brings together characters and stories from three major parts of the Naruto universe:

  • NARUTO
  • NARUTO: SHIPPUDEN
  • BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS

This gives the game access to characters and moments spanning multiple generations of the franchise.

What Types of Cards Are There?

Five card types have been officially introduced for the NARUTO CARD GAME.

Leader Cards

Your Leader is at the centre of your deck and plays a key role in determining how your deck is built.

Character Cards

Character Cards make up an important part of your forces in battle. Characters are selected according to your Leader's colour, and some characters can activate Ninjutsu by using Chakra.

EX Character Cards

EX Character Cards represent powerful characters that can be played when their specific conditions are met.

Chakra Cards

Chakra is used to activate support effects such as Ninjutsu and forms an important resource within the battle system.

Summon Cards

Summon Cards are used to bring Character Cards onto the battlefield.

How Does a Battle Work?

The objective is straightforward: battle your opponent and reduce their Leader's Life to 0.

Behind that objective is a strategic system built around Leaders, Characters, Chakra, Ninjutsu and Summoning. Choosing the right Leader and building around its colour and strategy will therefore be an important part of deck construction.

What Does a Deck Look Like?

Based on the currently published game information, a battle setup consists of:

  • 1 Leader Card
  • 50 cards in your main deck
  • 5 Chakra Cards
  • 1 Summon Card

Together, these components form the setup used to battle another player.

What Will the Cards Look Like?

The NARUTO CARD GAME is expected to feature a mixture of artwork, including original illustrations from various artists as well as artwork drawn from the anime and manga.

Preview material shown while the game is still in development may differ from the final products released in 2027.

What Products Will Be Available?

This is where we're deliberately being careful.

Specific retail products, configurations, prices and European availability should not be treated as confirmed until they are officially announced. You may already see terms such as booster boxes, booster packs or starter decks used by stores and fans, but we won't present individual products as confirmed until reliable official product information is available.

What About Europe?

The game is planned as a worldwide release, and Shinobi Vault is being built specifically with European players and collectors in mind.

Our goal is to provide clear information about European availability, pre-orders and our confirmed allocation as the launch gets closer.

Why Allocation Matters

For a highly anticipated trading card game, demand can be significantly higher than the stock available to individual retailers.

That's why Shinobi Vault follows a simple principle:

WE DON'T SELL WHAT WE DON'T HAVE.

We don't want to accept large numbers of pre-orders based on stock we only hope to receive. Products will become available for purchase once our allocation has been confirmed.

Stay Updated

There is still a lot we don't know about the NARUTO CARD GAME, including the complete launch product lineup, European pricing and exact availability.

We'll continue updating Vault News as official information is released.

You can also join the Shinobi Vault Launch List to receive launch, availability and pre-order updates as we get closer to 2027.
