Pre-orders should mean something.
When you place an order, you should be able to trust that the store has a realistic plan to fulfil it. That's why one principle sits at the heart of how Shinobi Vault wants to approach the launch of the NARUTO CARD GAME:
WE DON'T SELL WHAT WE DON'T HAVE.
It's a simple statement, but in the trading card game world it matters. Especially when a highly anticipated new game launches and demand may be difficult to predict.
What Does “Unconfirmed Stock” Mean?
Before a new trading card game launches, retailers may request products from their distributors.
But requesting stock and receiving confirmed stock are not always the same thing.
A store might request hundreds of units, while the final quantity allocated to that store could be lower. This is commonly referred to as allocation.
Until those quantities are confirmed, there can be uncertainty about how many customer orders can actually be fulfilled.
Why Can Allocation Affect Pre-orders?
Imagine a retailer expects to receive 500 units and accepts 500 pre-orders. Later, its confirmed allocation turns out to be only 200.
The retailer now has more customer orders than products available.
That can lead to orders being reduced, delayed or cancelled.
We don't want to build Shinobi Vault around that approach.
Our Approach: Confirmation Before Volume
Shinobi Vault is being built specifically around the NARUTO CARD GAME, and we're willing to be patient with the launch.
Our intention is to base the amount of stock we make available on quantities we can reasonably support with confirmed availability.
That could mean another retailer opens pre-orders before we do.
That's okay.
Being first to open an order page isn't our goal. Building a store customers can trust throughout the launch is.
Does This Mean Every Order Is Guaranteed?
No, and transparency means being clear about that too.
Products can sell out. Demand can exceed supply. Shipping issues can happen, release plans can change, and circumstances outside a retailer's control can still affect an order.
“We don't sell what we don't have” should therefore not be interpreted as a promise that nothing can ever go wrong.
It describes how we intend to approach stock and pre-orders: we don't want to knowingly sell quantities based only on stock we hope to receive.
Where Does Vault Access Fit In?
Vault Access is designed to give participating customers priority when eligible NARUTO CARD GAME products become available through Shinobi Vault.
Our intended launch order is:
- Vault Access customers first
- Launch List members next
- Public availability if eligible stock remains
But priority is not the same as a guarantee.
If 1,000 Vault Access customers are interested in a product and Shinobi Vault has 200 units available, Vault Access does not magically create another 800 units.
Eligible products can still sell out during the priority period.
Why Charge €2.50 for Vault Access?
Vault Access is intended as an optional priority layer for customers who want to be closer to the front of the Shinobi Vault launch process.
The price is €2.50, limited to one Vault Access purchase per customer.
With an eligible order, that €2.50 is intended to return to the customer as Shinobi Vault shop credit.
It is not a reservation for a specific product and it does not guarantee an allocation.
And What About the Free Launch List?
You don't need Vault Access to follow the launch.
The Launch List is free and is designed for players and collectors who want relevant NARUTO CARD GAME launch, availability and pre-order updates from Shinobi Vault.
If eligible stock remains after a Vault Access phase, Launch List members can receive the next opportunity before wider public availability under our intended launch structure.
Why Transparency Matters to Us
Shinobi Vault isn't being built as a general store with thousands of unrelated products.
We're building it around one game and one community: NARUTO CARD GAME.
That means our reputation will depend heavily on how we handle the launch.
We'd rather tell a customer that stock isn't confirmed yet than take an order today and explain later that we cannot fulfil it.
We're Building for the Long Term
Summer 2027 is only the beginning.
If the NARUTO CARD GAME develops into the game and community we hope it will, Shinobi Vault should still be here long after the first launch products have sold out.
That requires trust.
Trust isn't created by promising unlimited availability. It's created by being clear about what we know, what we don't know and what we can actually offer.
Our Commitment
As launch information develops, we'll continue updating our customers through Vault News and our launch channels.
When information isn't confirmed, we'll say so.
When allocation isn't known, we'll say so.
And when stock becomes available, we'll do our best to make the process clear and fair.
WE DON'T SELL WHAT WE DON'T HAVE.
That's not just a slogan.
It's how we want to build Shinobi Vault.
Shinobi Vault is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Bandai, Shueisha, TV Tokyo or the NARUTO rights holders. Launch plans, product availability and allocation may change before release.
